Amici - Shanklin PO37 6JJ

What a great find this Italian Restaurant was, it's to be found in Shanklin Old Town high street. It is run by a lovely Italian Family who offer great food, also a good selection of wine and beer are very reasonable prices. It was recommended to us by the owner of the Avenue B&B, and yes very glad we went. Have to say it was that good we went for a 2nd visit, and yes still as good, tasty and hot all served by great staff. Would highly recommend a visit to this great restaurant soon.

Not my first time visiting the island but first time at Amici and it was fantastic. Great quality food, fast and polite service, brilliant atmosphere. A lovely small family owned restaurant. Make sure to book a table in advance as is so busy even on normal weeknights, but I don't doubt that they would try to accommodate you best they could as a walk in. Pay and display parking at the back of the restaurant also. 10/10 recommend

Loved it here. Great, polite and quick service with great food. The dough itself was some of the best I’ve ever had as it was a perfect mix of hints of salt and garlic. Food came in around 25 minutes on a Tuesday and we got to pick our own table.

Wow, what a find, a great family run Italian in Old Town Shanklin on the Isle of Wight, near to our lovely hotel Victoria Lodge. The food was amazing, freshly cooked. Mum had chicken with aubergine and I had lamb with an amazing mint sauce, served with fresh vegetables perfectly cooked. We were also so well looked after front of house by Summer. Thank you Amici for a lovely meal, we will be back.

We ate here twice last week, and both times I chose from their great selection of fish dishes. In the photo is their generously portioned seabass with crab gratin in a white wine sauce, very tasty and served by friendly staff. The pizzas also looked generously sized!

We visited yesterday evening and shared some of the most authentic cuisine we ever had, even surpassing many restaurants in Italy in quality. We tried the pasta and pizza and were amazed how tasty it was. We even got some for takeout, which we enjoyed for breakfast the next morning. It's a small restaurant, which seems to be getting popularity through its especially good kitchen, ambiance, and very friendly staff. If able, I'd recommend reserving in advance. All in all, an amazing place to dine in and definitely on my itinerary for the next visit to iow.

We loved everything! The service, the wine and the food! It felt like we were in Italy! I had the peccheri mare mio and my husband had the atomica pizza. We could not be happier with our choices. The restaurant was fully booked but Angelo manage to get us a table, they were very kind! Super recommended!

Can’t fault the food. It was presented very nicely and tasted great. It was a fair while waiting for the main but it was well worth it. I would rather wait for great food that’s freshly cooked than be served average food quickly. The table service was very good and friendly. We found out at the end of the evening that the young lady who served us was her first night. She did an excellent job. We were a party of four on holiday and dined on a Thursday evening. IF you fancy Italian then I would all highly recommend Amici.
